Jodie RexroatPresident's Award (2023) While TACRAO is our State organization for enrollment areas, it is made up entirely of volunteers. When someone is asked to serve on a session planning, a standing committee, chair a committee, elected to serve on TEC or serve in many other ways, it is the work that they put into that volunteer role that can sometimes be a challenge. Yet, they step in and step up and improve whatever they are asked to do and at times, even more than they are expected to do. This year’s President’s Award goes to Jodie Rexroat from Southern Methodist University. Jodie has been an integral part of the Legislative Issues Committee. Over this past year during the 88th Legislative Session, Jodie provided timely updates that were comprised of entertaining experts with meaning summaries that the entire membership and State could reference and utilize. When I selected Jodie, I reached to Nancy Faris and she said she was top notch. This year, not only did Jodie say yes to serve as Legislative Issue Chair….she also served as the 2023 LAC Denton Treasurer.
